Privacy Policy

Last updated & effective: 11 August 2026

Short version: Skisso collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, and no Skisso server that receives your data. Everything stays in your browser — except the specific fragment you choose to send, which goes straight to the AI provider you connect, under your own key.

01Who we are

This policy applies to the Skisso browser extension and the website at skisso.app (together, “Skisso”, “we”, “us”). The data controller is Zakabluk A., trading as WebbRiddare, a sole proprietorship registered in Sweden. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@skisso.app.

02What Skisso does (single purpose)

Skisso lets you select an element on the page you are viewing and send its markup — and, optionally, a screenshot — to an AI coding assistant of your choice, which returns generated code. That single purpose defines the only data Skisso ever touches.

03What stays on your device

04The one thing that leaves your browser

To turn a selection into code, the fragment you choose is sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you connect, and the generated code is returned to you. This request does not pass through Skisso and is not stored by us — it goes straight to your provider, under your own API key.

05What we do not do

06Legal bases (GDPR)

Because Skisso processes data locally and only on your instruction, the relevant bases under Article 6 GDPR are: performance of the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b)) when you trigger a selection and send it, and your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) when you store an API key or enable optional features. You can withdraw at any time by clearing the key or uninstalling the extension.

07International transfers

Skisso itself transfers nothing. However, the AI provider you connect may process your request outside the EU/EEA (for example, in the United States). That transfer is between you and your chosen provider and is governed by that provider’s own safeguards and privacy terms. Choose a provider whose data location and terms you are comfortable with.

08Data retention

Your settings and API key remain in your browser until you remove them or uninstall the extension. We retain nothing on our side, because we receive nothing. Uninstalling Skisso, or clearing it in your browser’s extension settings, deletes all locally stored data.

09Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because Skisso holds no data on any server, you can exercise most of these directly — your data lives only in your browser and is removed when you clear or uninstall the extension. For any request or question, email hello@skisso.app.

10Security

Your API key and settings are kept in your browser’s extension storage, not on our servers. Requests you send to your AI provider are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Skisso contains no remotely hosted code — all of its logic is bundled in the extension package.

11Chrome Web Store — Limited Use

Skisso’s handling of information from your browser adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. The content you select is used only for the single purpose of generating the code you asked for. We do not sell it, use it for advertising or profiling, or transfer it to anyone other than the AI provider you choose.

12Third-party AI providers

When you send a selection, it is processed by whichever AI provider or agent you connect — for example Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, Google, or another service you configure. Skisso is not tied to any single provider. Your use of each is governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy; review the policy of whichever one you connect before sending interface content to it.

13Children

Skisso is a developer and design tool and is not directed to children under 13.

14Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date, and, where the change affects how your data is handled, surfaced in the extension before it takes effect.

15Complaints

If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish supervisory authority, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) — imy.se.
